Resume of Dr. Hámori Gergely

I. INTRODUCTION

Dr. Gergely Hámori has extensive experience across the whole range of business law, including property law, contract law, law of corporations, especially mergers and other transactions, employment law, advice on intellectual property law, trade mark issues and dispute resolution.

He has also undertaken academic work at the Law Faculty of ELTE University (Budapest), where has been pursuing his postdoctoral (Ph.D.) studies since 1997 in the field of international state responsibility. Within the framework of his postgraduate studies, he was elected as a member of an Academic Research Group carrying out research on the legal aspects of the Bosnian War, and he also has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate and foreign exchange students. He gained foreign experience at the Leeds Office of Mason’s Solicitors (Leeds, UK.) in 2000 and at the Department of International Public Law of Ghent University (Belgium) in 2005.

II. IDICATIVE EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

Conducting mediation, arbitration and litigation in the relevant courts of Hungary, including the Commercial Court Advising and acting for Mason’s Solicitors (London-Leeds, UK.) concerning the take-over of the Hungarian subsidiary of a major IT Servives Provider. Acting for a major multinational IT Manufacturer, providing advice in connection with the enforcement of trade mark protection in Hungary.
Acting for a major client on a series of litigations regarding major defects on a four-star hotel building.
Advise to Hungarian trade companies in connection with controversies arising out of interantional sales contracts. Advise to Hungarian transportation companies in connection with controversies arising out of interantional forwarding contracts.
